Karate for adults

We welcome new students and our classes are suited to all abilities and ages. The karate that we teach is accessible - we improve our strength and flexibility through regular training. Karate is a fun, invigorating, and healthy activity and it is never too late to start. Whether we are sparring, performing, or practising, our classes are a brilliant aerobic and anaerobic workout. Karate is a mental exercise as much as a physical one - the smooth, repetitive movements and combinations of set patterns (Kata) keep our brains young, healthy, and happy.

Many of our adults originally started karate after their children. Instead of sitting down and watching their children having all the fun, they joined in. It is really special for families to be able to share an activity and time together each week.

“Every week the training is varied and challenging. Whether you are a new white belt starting your journey or a senior black belt, Sensei Richard’s and Sensei Alex’s passion to pass on knowledge and continue challenging students is evident at every training session.”

Karate for Children

Karate helps kids with concentration, discipline, and strength. The Karate class is an excellent place to learn, stay fit, and meet new people. More so than in any video game, there is always another level of Karate to master, meaning you will never be bored. There is great satisfaction to building and honing such a skill.

“My son has been training with them for 7 years. He always looks forward to his lessons. Karate has given him humility, balance and confidence and Karate has been such an enriching experience in his life especially during lock-down.”
